Job Description ADMINISTRATOR Job Function: Coordinate all services provided by the home to individuals and comply with all applicable regulations. Supervises: QIDPs, Clerks, DSP’s, and Nurses Reports to:  Executive Director  Primary Duties:  1. Ensure that the home is in compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations for licensure and Medicaid certification.  2. Maintain census and referral list.  3. Develop operational budgets in conjunction with the Executive Director and monitor to ensure that each area and component is contained  within the approved budget.  4. Coordinate functions of each department to ensure an efficient operation of the home.  5. Implement and monitor home policies and procedures to ensure consistency in the operation of the home.  6. Prepare and complete all accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.  7. Perform all personnel functions, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, terminating, evaluating, training, and scheduling.  8. Submit reports to the Executive Director.  9. Monitor inventories and purchasing systems. Review purchasing inventories and reconcile with current invoices.  10. Monitor the maintenance and upkeep of building(s), grounds, and vehicle(s).  11. Initiate and maintain marketing and public relations.  12. Perform other duties as requested by the Supervisor.  Qualifications for the Administrator shall be:  Education:           Bachelor’s Degree  Substitute   for Education:  Nursing Home Administrator license       Experience:  Minimum of 1 year management experience  Substitute   for Experience:  None  Requirements:         Must obtain Nursing Home Administrator license within one year of employment and maintain throughout employment.  Maintain a valid Driver’s License  Demonstrate functional 8th Grade literacy through standardized exam  Obtain and maintain status on the Habilitation Aid Registry; as well as under the Healthcare Workers’ Background Check  Act  Complete DSP/DDA training in accordance with state regulations  Physical Demands:    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform  the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to  perform the essential functions.    The employee must occasionally lift and/or move, push and/or pull up to 20 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this  job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  While performing the duties of this job, the  employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and smell.   The employee is required to move frequently and occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, or crawl.    The employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time.   The employee must be able to assist in the evacuation of individuals in emergency situations. The employee must possess  emotional stability to deal with stressful situations on a regular basis and the ability to deal with illness, death, and dying.
